We have recently entered into a service-learning agreement for the spring 2015 semester with California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI). Because of this, we have been able to add fourteen new mentors to work with students at our various Oxnard sites. This is a win-win for both the students and the mentors. As part of the agreement, the mentors from CSUCI will receive academic credit. Also, just as the students will benefit from the help, the mentors will benefit from assisting their students each week and will surely learn from them too.
